Privacy

Typehall stores your notes only in your browser, in an on-device database on your own hardware. There is no account, no backend application, no remote database, and no endpoint that receives note content.

What is stored locally

• Your notes: titles, text, folders, tags, and timestamps.
• Local version history and app preferences such as sorting.
• Which note was open last.
• Your light/dark mode choice.

What Typehall does not collect

• Typehall does not upload or store your note content on its servers.
• Your notes are stored locally in your browser unless you choose to export them.
• Typehall does not use your notes for analytics.
• The only intentional ways content leaves your device are exports you trigger: downloading files, backups, copying text, or using your device's Share action.
• If you enable automatic local backups, Typehall writes backup files to a folder you choose on your device. Those files are never uploaded to Typehall servers.

Clearing your data

Clearing your browser's site data removes your locally stored notes permanently. Download important notes as .txt files to keep a copy elsewhere.

Advertising and consent

Typehall is free, supported by a single advertising placement below the notepad on the homepage, served through Google AdSense. Nothing above changes because of it: Typehall still does not upload or store your note content anywhere. But loading Google's advertising code means Google and its advertising partners may collect and use browser and device information — such as cookies or similar storage, IP addresses, and other identifiers — for purposes including ad personalization and measurement, frequency capping, and fraud prevention. Your note text is never supplied to advertising requests.

On your first visit, Google shows a consent message where you can consent, decline, or manage options, including the list of advertising partners. The consent message can appear on public pages (this privacy page itself is excluded: it loads no advertising or analytics code). If you decline, you see non-personalized ads; some storage is still used for measurement and abuse prevention. You can revisit your choices through the consent message's manage options, or reset it by clearing this site's cookies and storage in your browser settings (the message is shown again on your next visit). Analytics and visits

Typehall uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand visits and acquisition — which public pages are viewed and which sources refer visitors. Analytics only activates after you grant analytics consent in Google's consent message, and only on public content pages: this privacy page loads no analytics code and is never measured. When active, Google may process browser and device information for measurement purposes. Your notes — text, titles, folders, tags, searches, history, backups, attachments, and anything else stored locally — are never sent to Analytics; Typehall does not read local note storage to build analytics events.

If you decline analytics, no analytics code loads and no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice later through “Cookie settings” in the footer (shown when the consent system is available) or by clearing this site's cookies and storage in your browser settings.
